PROJECT CONTEXT

Engineering the right source of useful heat.

A site-specific installation or documented project scope, with design versus reported outcomes clearly separated.

The challenge

A high-exhaust manufacturing plant needed heated replacement air and also faced negative-pressure conditions that affect the building air balance.

The solution

SolarWall Global describes a black façade installation of approximately 3,000 sq ft with 18,000 cfm supply of solar-preheated replacement air. This was the plant’s alternative to relying entirely on gas-fired make-up air.

Published outcomes

The original project case includes projected annual natural-gas cost savings of USD 21,675 at historical energy prices and an estimated reduction exceeding 114 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
