ENGINEERING & PROJECT PROCESS

From feasibility to installation and monitoring.

We assess air demand, model potential savings, engineer the integration and plan delivery.

A TECHNICAL SALES PROCESS

Designed around your plant.

A SolarWall installation starts with the facility’s operating conditions. Solar exposure matters, but so do air volume, thermal setpoints, equipment integration, site access and the hours when useful heat is required.

Our project process follows the key stages described by SolarWall Türkiye and adapts them for an internationally oriented engineering engagement. Actual responsibility for each stage is agreed in the project contract.

THE PROJECT ROADMAP

Seven stages.
Clear deliverables.

From the first operational dataset to performance reporting, every stage answers a different engineering question.

01

Needs assessment and energy data

We review the facility’s present heat sources, fuel consumption, outdoor-air volume, supply-air temperatures, operating patterns and existing mechanical plant. Seasonal heating demand and process constraints are identified.

Typical output: Initial energy and operational data brief
02

Technical site survey and architectural review

The building envelope, solar orientation, shading, roof or façade space, structural capacity, access routes and AHU connection points are assessed. Project teams review ductwork paths, site constraints and installation phasing.

Typical output: Site suitability review and collector location options
03

Energy simulation and investment assessment

Site-specific weather, airflow, setpoints and operating hours support a thermal model. Estimates cover annual solar contribution, fuel displacement, CO₂ impact and economics under stated assumptions, sensitivities and operating cases.

Typical output: Feasibility study with savings assumptions and payback scenarios
04

System design and integration planning

Engineers select the collector arrangement and design supporting steelwork, air cavities, duct connections, dampers, sensors and building automation. The design is coordinated with electrical, structural and mechanical systems.

Typical output: Preliminary engineering pack and integration concept
05

Manufacturing and project logistics

Approved design details define panel quantities, framing, ductwork, controls, installation packages and delivery sequence. Timing and procurement are coordinated with the customer’s operations and project programme.

Typical output: Installation schedule and procurement / logistics plan
06

Installation, integration and commissioning

The collector, support structure, air path and controls are installed in accordance with the agreed scope. Airflow, temperature measurement, dampers, BMS signals and operating modes are tested during commissioning.

Typical output: Commissioning checks, handover documents and training
07

Digital monitoring, reporting and handover

Where included in the agreed project scope, a monitoring platform tracks temperature, flow and related system variables to estimate useful heat delivered and fuel displaced. Reports should distinguish modelled and observed performance.

Typical output: Monitoring configuration and performance reporting methodology
PRIORITISE FEASIBILITY

A strong project is supported by the right technical information.

Facility layout, fuel baseline, ventilation equipment specifications and operating hours help us move towards a credible financial and thermal assessment.

MONITORING & ENGINEERING EVIDENCE

What is measured after installation?

Where instrumentation and monitoring are included in the contract.

Measurement

Operational inputs

  • Outdoor, collector and mixed-air temperatures
  • Airflow or air-velocity measurements
  • Solar radiation where sensors are installed
  • Damper positions, operating status and setpoint trends
Reporting

Performance reporting

  • Useful delivered solar heat, calculated using measured variables
  • Estimated fuel displacement against an agreed baseline
  • CO₂ impact with documented emission factors
  • Operating anomalies and opportunities for optimisation

Performance monitoring can be specified as part of the engineering scope, with sensors and reporting matched to the facility.
