Türk Tuborg Malt Facility
High-volume renewable air preheating integrated with industrial malt drying.
İzmir, Türkiye · SolarWall installation
← Global projectsBy reducing fossil-fuel heating demand, this application can contribute to lower Scope 1 emissions. Scope 2 benefits depend on the facility’s purchased energy use. See the project figures above for reported or estimated savings.

The engineering approach, system integration and project outcomes.
The challenge
Malt drying requires a substantial and continuous supply of heated process air. The project sought to reduce fuel use while supporting a process operating 18 hours per day, seven days a week.
The solution
The published case study describes a 315 m² SW100 façade collector, supplying preheated air to two drying processes. Temperature sensors, proportional and summer-bypass dampers and an energy management system support operating control and monitoring.
Published outcomes
SolarWall Türkiye reports approximately 1,722,945 kWh annual natural gas savings and 311.3 tonnes of CO₂ avoided each year, with an expected 2.1-year payback. Estimated project data from the SolarWall installation profile.
