Solar heating of high-volume outdoor air at an aerospace paint facility.
Ankara, Türkiye · SolarWall installation
← Global projectsBy reducing fossil-fuel heating demand, this application can contribute to lower Scope 1 emissions. Scope 2 benefits depend on the facility’s purchased energy use. See the project figures above for reported or estimated savings.

The engineering approach, system integration and project outcomes.
The challenge
The paint workshop required large volumes of conditioned fresh air at a defined setpoint, creating a significant thermal load.
The solution
A 360 m² SolarWall collector was connected to the existing air-handling equipment instead of requiring a new AHU. The published project description describes proportional dampers and automation to support a 20°C temperature setpoint.
Published outcomes
SolarWall Türkiye reports approximately 101,000 m³ of natural gas savings each year, an average temperature rise of about 15°C and 213 tonnes of CO₂ reduction annually. Payback figures appear inconsistently in different parts of the project summary, so no payback number is presented here.
