HOW SOLARWALL WORKS

Solar energy preheats the air your facility needs.

SolarWall uses a sun-facing perforated metal collector to warm outside air before it enters the ventilation system. This reduces the heat that conventional equipment needs to supply.

SolarWall collector warms outdoor air with sunlight before mechanical ventilation delivers the preheated air into the facility
01 · Absorb sunlight

The sun warms the perforated metal collector mounted on the building.

02 · Draw in outside air

Ventilation fans pull fresh air through the small openings.

03 · Preheat the air

Air picks up heat as it passes through the collector and cavity.

04 · Supply the building

Preheated air enters the ventilation or process air system.

Industrial decarbonisation

Decarbonising industrial heating.

SolarWall uses sunlight to preheat incoming air for industrial ventilation and processes, helping facilities reduce conventional heating demand, operating emissions and costs.

Renewable thermal energyLower fuel demandCleaner operations
Scope 1

Lower direct heating emissions

When solar-preheated air displaces on-site gas or other fuel combustion, direct emissions from industrial heating can fall.

Scope 2

Lower purchased energy demand

Where SolarWall reduces purchased electricity, steam or heat consumption, associated indirect emissions may also decrease.

SOLAR HEAT POTENTIAL

How much solar heat could your facility generate?

Explore an illustrative annual thermal output based on location and collector area. This is not a project-specific performance forecast.

A first illustration of collector heat potential, not useful heat delivered to a facility. Orientation, solar resource, airflow, temperature and operating hours must be assessed by an engineer.

ILLUSTRATIVE OUTPUT
—

Estimated annual collector heat potential (MWh/year)

Calculation status
Illustrative assumptions

Preliminary illustration only. The solar irradiation inputs and performance factors have not been independently validated for this website. This is not a prediction of heat available to your processes, a performance guarantee or an engineering quotation.

Methodology and assumptions

Illustrative model: annual collector heat potential (MWh) = collector area (m²) × provisional annual irradiation (kWh/m²) × 0.80 assumed orientation adjustment × 0.40 assumed collection factor ÷ 1,000. These two factors are placeholders, not measured SolarWall system performance. The irradiation input is not established as a vertical-façade, orientation-specific PVGIS series.

Provisional location inputs (kWh/m²/year): Barcelona 1,650; Madrid 1,800; London 1,000; Berlin 1,150; Paris 1,200; Rome 1,600; Istanbul 1,400. Results do not account for shading, system type, hourly weather, collector airflow, operating times, building load, or usable delivered heat. Before a project estimate, use orientation-specific PVGIS irradiation data and manufacturer-validated performance modelling.
